Thank you Dawn for taking part with us. It is not too late...we aim for Monday, but as wives and mommas our aim sometimes has to be a bit off to accomplish the bullseye that we strike for...whew, did that make any sense? smile

About knitting socks- there is a wonderful, free online sock tutorial here:
http://www.cometosilver.com/socks/
I learned to knit socks from it, as have many, many others! Good luck- they are very fun to knit. My kids love the ones with self-striping yarn.

I'm just starting a homemaking notebook and would love to see how you're arranging yours.

Ok, Dawn -- re-doing your homekeeping notebook? Forest School? This is really just too much suspense! LOL
I've been meaning to do a Daybook entry, too, but haven't gotten around to it yet -- they look like fun. :-)

This was a lovely post. The little squirrel picture is cute- I have so much fun looking at our four little ones running after one another across our front porch!
Thanks for sharing!

Dawn,I just found your site! I do not blog, but love to read them. I had to tell you, I love yours the best! I didn't know there was anyone else who enjoyed having coffee all morning long. My kids laughed and commented on how much you love your morning coffee too!!! I watched Cranford online and LOVED it!!! I can't wait for the next two. Thanks for the beauty of your site. You encourage me to be a better mom and teacher. I have started taping all my clippings in a notebook! I don't know why I had not thought to do that. They were all in a file folder. Ingenious!!! I also love the windows in your home. What a spectacular view. I told the kids that I bet it would be fun to watch a lightning storm from them. Please keep posting and giving us a glimpse into another homeschool family's life.

I almost hate to ask this but, what are "memes"? I see them and am not quite sure what they do.

Thank you for the kind comments, everyone! :)
Kristin, thank you for the link to the sock instructions. I’ve bookmarked it!
Heather, I will definitely post about my homekeeping notebook re-do. :)
Sylvia, memes are simply little question-and-answer posts, about various subjects, that circulate from blog to blog. Basically, you take the set of questions and write up your own answers, then link back to the blog where you first saw it. Sometimes you “tag” other bloggers to try it next, but really they are open to anyone.
Hope that helps!

I did this daybook too. Isnt it the most wonderful idea? Maybe I can actually spend time outdoors this week since our rain is suppose to stop!
