The Carnival of Homeschooling: Week 37
A New Field Day is Coming!

Yesterday ...

I read a lot of magazines.

I drank overpriced coffee.

I watched the clock.

I held my mother's hand.

I prayed.

Yesterday, I spent 12 hours at the hospital while my dad underwent 8 hours of surgery to repair an aortic aneurysm. I know many of you dear readers were praying for us all, and especially for my dad.

I meant to post last night when I got home but it was so late and it had been such a long day I could barely form the thoughts to give the very happy report that my father's surgery was completely successful! He faces a long and difficult recuperation but the hardest part is over.

Thank you to his amazing doctor and all the nurses and staff who took such good care of him - and us, while we waited.

Thank you to all our dear friends who prayed for my father yesterday. You cannot imagine the comfort your prayers brought to us.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, God. Yesterday, today and always. You are so good.

I'm off to make another strong cup of coffee, and make plans for this absolutely wonderful day. :)
