Does this window seat make my butt look big?
Sorry - I know that's a bit fresh - but the boys and I just laughed ourselves silly over this picture! Archie is a very slim cat actually, but this angle makes him look ... shall we say, rather disproportionate.
Lol.
Seriously though, we just learned that Oliver is "borderline" overweight. Apparently we were supposed to stop feeding them "kitten formula" after six months. They are now over a year and we're still giving them the same kind of dry food - which is very rich and fattening. Kittens need those extra calories and fat, but not so much full grown cats. Oops!
Here's Ollie on his way to the vets the other day:
Not a happy boy, no.
We brought him in because he had been scratching at his right ear for a week or more, and we figured it needed to be looked at. As it turned out, he has a yeast overgrowth in that ear, which thankfully is nothing serious, but needs to be treated with medicated drops twice a day for 10 days. He's not so much a fan of the ear drops - but he's good about it.
(And in case you were wondering, he weighs 13.44 lbs!)
So we have our work cut out for us, switching the boys over to an adult formula dry food, and helping Ollie trim down. He's not as naturally active as Archie, but Ollie does love to play. So Crackerjack has taken this on as his personal mission to get Oliver moving as often as he can.

Well, my friends, I hope you all have a GREAT Friday! I'll be back again very soon!
