Of Note: National Mint Julep Day (This should really be held on the first Saturday in May - aka The Kentucky Derby!)

Housekeeping: clean the kitchen, clear fridge/freezer/cabinets of old food, scrub and soak sink, begin weekend marketing list, organize trash & recycling

Weather: mostly gray and dampish all day ... starting to clear now as day ends

Dinner:

herb-chicken tortellini with alfredo OR red sauce

toasted garlic-spread wheat baguette

salads

ice cream and raspberry sauce

Nature:

- The robin has been sitting in the nest all day ... we may get eggs yet!

Notes of the Day:

- Really scrubbed down the kitchen counters - removed everything, washed them down, let them air dry, wiped down the appliances and other counter items.

- Took everything off the desktop and washed the whole area down. Opened windows, let in air. Re-organized desktop items as I put them back.

- Worked on summer ed. plans.

- Prepared Oak Meadow order.

When I read that today is National Mint Julep Day, I had the same thought: why isn't this on Derby Day???
