I love the Genovese basil, as it always behaves best for me. I like to grow it in the garden amongst the tomatoes as companions (I think it supposed to help keep pests away) but also a potful in a sunny kitchen window ready to pinch and add to a recipe at any time. Plus it makes my kitchen smell nice.
