Or rather, dear husband did. :)
Here is the bed as he began preparing it around 6:30 Saturday morning ...
He then tilled the bed at 7 a.m. (fortunately for our neighbors, our tiller is electric and very quiet). And by late yesterday afternoon, the 30 raspberries were in! There's a mix of red and gold, and summer- and fall-bearing.
This bed is along a chain-link fence that will be replaced by a split-rail style soon. It will get full sun and faces south. It will be a bit before they need staking, but dh hopes to get the framework in place soon.
Obviously we won't be making jam this summer, but it's exciting all the same. :)
