12/22/07 Happy Winter!
******************************************
Today it's all about our feathered friends ... I stocked up on all their favorites at Wild Birds yesterday, and today it will all go out. The boys and I will also make some homemade treats for the birds and I'd like to take a bark rubbing of our special spruce tree today, as well.

The Full Cold Moon is tomorrow. We'll make time to look at it tonight as Sunday brings (ugh) rain.
******************************************I
I just read that this December is the second snowiest in Boston *on record*! All we need is one more inch and we'll have it beat.
12/20/07 Snowing here AGAIN! I can't remember a December this snowy in years. (I'm definitely not complaining, though!) Today we will pick up a few to several more inches, and of course it just looks so lovely as we bustle about in the house getting ready for Christmas ...
******************************************
You should see (and hear!) the squirrels commuting across our icy roof these days! They can't cross the lawn because they sink too deeply in the snow, so they must cross tree canopies and rooftops, much to their consternation and our amusement!
12/19/07 The first issue of The Chickadee Post is fresh off the presses! (See 12/19 post.)
******************************************
Today should be a tad milder (near 40). Cloudy, though, with a light sprinkle or flurry by nightfall. Overnight we'll get an inch or two of snow ... should make for a pretty morning tomorrow.
******************************************
I have not been out to the feeders since Sunday, so the poor things are really knocking themselves out trying to get to the food that's left. I'll get out there at first light and fill it all up ...
I have enjoyed a winter's morning sitting and reading through your nature blog. I appreciate all your personal touches and the comments on nature.
We share a love for all God's creation.
